What to do if your Floor has a Stubborn Stain?

If you have noticed a dark stain on your wooden floor, Rubio Monocoat Tannin Remover is the perfect product to get your floor looking fresh, clean and natural once again. It works on a variety of tough stains ranging from tannin stains, rust spots and watermarks to even areas affected by pet urine. Stains will be lifted in a couple of easy-to-follow steps. 

Step 1: Before purchasing the ‘Tannin Remover’, we recommend all customers to first try to lift the stain with our Universal Soap, Surface Care or All Natural Wood Cleaner. Even if they are unsuccessful, these products will keep other wooden surfaces looking as good as new. If these products do not lift the stain, proceed to step 2.

Step 2: Spray Tannin remover onto the affected area and leave to sit for approximately 2-3 minutes. After that, lightly dab dry with a cloth or paper towel. DO NOT WIPE. 

Step 3: After the stain is lifted, you may re-sand and re-oil the area if necessary. 

This product is highly versatile and can be used on surfaces both inside and outside. This includes untreated, oiled or waxed wood. 

If you do not achieve the desired results on the first usage, you can use this product multiple times. However, be aware that you may need to re-sand and re-oil the area if the colour underneath begins to fade.
